Mazda CX-7
2013 Mazda CX-7: After a mild refresh for the 2010 model year, the next big change for the CX-7 should arrive in 2012. Expect to see the CX-7 retain its size and features while it introduces new, even more efficient powertrains.
Mazda CX-9
2013 Mazda CX-9: Like the smaller CX-7, the CX-9 received a mild refresh for 2010 so don't expect any big changes until 2012.
Mazda 2
2014 Mazda 2: An all-new addition to the line in 2011, the entry-level Mazda 2 subcompact will likely get a midcycle refresh in 2013.
Mazda 3
2013 Mazda 3: Redesigned in 2009, the Mazda 3 will likely see a few minor upgrades under the hood in the next couple of years as Mazda looks to reduce its fleetwide fuel consumption.
Mazda 5
2011 Mazda 5: Unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, the new Mazda 5 adopts the company's new "Nagare" design philosophy. The small people mover will be powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and go on sale in early 2011.
Mazda 6
2012 Mazda 6: Like much of the Mazda lineup, the midsize Mazda 6 sedan will be ready for a refresh in a couple of years after a full redesign in 2009.
Mazda MX-5 Miata
2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata: The Miata doesn't see full redesigns too often and the next makeover isn't due until 2013. That's a bit later than expected as Mazda had to delay the redesign to make sure the next Miata would fit right into Mazda's leaner looking lineup of the future.
Mazda RX-8
2013 Mazda RX-8: A redesigned RX-8 is a bit of a question mark right now as the current model is expected to go out of production by the end of next year. A smaller and lighter version is said to be in the works for 2013, but given the current model's slow sales Mazda probably isn't devoting huge resources to a successor.
Mazda Tribute
2012 Mazda Tribute: Although Ford no longer holds a controlling stake in Mazda, the two companies will continue some codevelopment work. The 2012 Mazda Tribute is expected to be an example of that as the compact SUV will most likely arrive as a rebadged version of the Ford Kuga, a European crossover that will be brought to the U.S. to replace the Ford Escape.
