2013 Mazda CX-5 Chosen Among 10 Best Interiors

As many drivers know, comfort is king. So finding a vehicle that keeps you feeling relaxed is just as important as determining what sort of engine power and safety features you're looking for in a new car in Avondale, Chandler, and Peoria. That's where publications like Ward's AutoWorld come in handy, with its ratings of the '10 Best Interiors' sure to keep you comfortable. Here at Avondale Mazda, we're happy to say that the 2013 Mazda CX-5 made the coveted list.

Mazda2 Zooms Around the 'Wall of Death'

Scaling the 'Wall of Death' is no easy task, as it takes a lot of skill and fortitude to ride a vehicle of any kind at almost 90-degrees in a 31-foot long circle. That sort of thing is generally left to daredevil motorcyclists, but Mazda had other ideas. The automaker recently set out to accomplish the famed feat with its very own Mazda2 hatchback.

Mazda to Discontinue CX-7 Boost Efforts for CX-5

Often times, for a new car model to hit the marketplace, one must go. Mazda recently announced that would be the case with the Mazda CX-7, as the model will be discontinued in the U.S. at the end of the 2012 car cycle.

While it's an unfortunate reality, don't think it's because the CX-7 did poorly in terms of sales or availability here in the greater Avondale area. The SUV sold over 35,000 units nationwide last year; it just suffered from a bit of an identity crisis. At 184.3 inches long, the CX-7 was considered too small to be an SUV, but too big to be classified in the compact crossover class. Mazda already has its replacement lined up, and it's a familiar face, too.

At the recent Geneva Auto Show, which ran March 8-18, many automakers unveiled their latest plans for new and revamped models, concept cars, and vehicle technology for the coming years. Mazda was no different, displaying a new design trim on two popular models; the Mazda CX-5 and Mazda6, both fitted to the styling of Takeri.
